After a series of three trial events run by the Fiji Surfing Association (FSA) to determine a local wildcard competitor for the Volcom Fiji Pro, Isei Tokovou emerged as the champion.  Before realizing his opportunity to compete on surfing’s grandest stage, Isei came into the third and final trials event rated in second place behind fellow Fijian powerhouse Aca Ravulo.  As fortune would have it, everything came down to an all-deciding final where Isei would just edge out Aca for the coveted wildcard spot. Isei is employed at Tavarua Island Resort so his co- workers, friends and Fijian countrymen will be rooting him on as he challenges world number one Joel Parkinson and Raoni Monteiro in round one.
